CCM is a name synonymous with British motorcycles, starting with Alan Clews, a racer who made bikes in his shed to becoming the go-to brand for retro, unique motorcycles. CCM was entering a new era for the company and needed a revitalised brand which would bring their heritage to a fresh audience.
Vintage footage of the CCM motorcycles in action from the 70’s and the original signage from the Bolton factory provided valuable clues about the CCM story and why it is so special. The motorcycles are highly customisable and their stripped back qualities with exposed welds provided the combination of inspiration needed for a bespoke typeface and new brand direction with it’s roots firmly planted in its heritage.
